Job Title:  Employee Services Business Partner

Job Summary:
The Employee Services Business Partner will be a key member of the Boardman team. This role is charged with delivering on strategic business partnerships and overall Human Resources support. First and foremost, this role will function as an employee advocate, ensuring all employees have a strong voice and are able to contribute to their fullest potential. In addition, the role will manage employee relations, partner with talent acquisition, and work cross-functionally across the People & Culture disciplines.

Key Functions / Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with all levels of management supporting key People & Culture initiatives
  • Operating as an employee advocate, manage and fact find a diverse spectrum of employee relations challenges and inquiries
  • Work closely with Regional Employee Services Manager to identify how to strategically address challenging areas in the business
  • Support Learning & Development Initiatives and overall employee development processes
  • Manage employee onboarding process, including pre-employment testing processes, post-offer processes and seasonal orientations as needed
  • Partner with Talent Team to support overall talent acquisition efforts
  • Utilizing company HRIS systems, manage employee data input processes
  • Partner with hiring managers on interviews, making recommendations, etc.
  • Assist the talent team with special projects
Education / Experience: 
  • 2+ years’ experience in a partnership and cross-functional leadership. Preferred in a Human Resources and/or Manufacturing team environment.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt quickly to changing circumstances and develop creative solutions while building consensus among different functional groups.
  • Takes initiative, is a self-starter and is proficient at establishing internal relationships.
  • Proven leadership, communication and project management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Job Title:  HR Generalist/Recruiter

Job Summary: 
The human resources generalist/recruiter is responsible for performing human resources functions in some or all of the following areas: assist with recruitment activities, training, and in development and composition of personnel policies and procedures. Our ideal candidate possesses considerable skill in interviewing techniques, extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedures, crushes performance goals, leads with heart and intellect, demonstrates a sense of urgency, and understands the value of providing amazing candidate experiences.
Key Functions / Responsibilities:
  • Assist with recruitment activities such as sourcing, screening, posting open positions on our website and job boards, creating a pipeline of candidates, creating job description, conducting phone screens, and attending recruitment and job fair events
  • Establish university partnerships and plan campus presence, coordinate, and attend college and community recruiting events
  • Upon management approval of new requisition, work with CHRO to obtain role briefing and to agree sourcing strategies and timeline
  • Work within predefined recruitment processes while monitoring that process to identify, recommend areas, improve and to ensure best practices at all times
  • Document, track, and maintain applicant records and status
  • Compile monthly recruiting metrics to determine recruiting efficiencies
  • Conduct initial phone screen
  • Assist with orientation of new employees
  • Assist HR to update job requirements and descriptions for all positions in order to fulfill business objectives and provide clarity to employees
  • Insure a memorable and amazing experience for every candidate
  • Manage the summer student/intern program from planning to executing, including overseeing events, planning the training curriculum, and managing feedback processes
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas of job/company training
  • Use social media and ads to help recruit candidates
  • Assist in development and composition of personnel policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
  • One to three years of HR experience preferred
  • Experience in the development and analysis of recruitment metrics a plus
  • One year of related experience with at least one year of extensive talent management experience a plus
Skills / Job Knowledge / Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentation skills before small groups to clearly communicate information preferred
  • Detail oriented, well organized with strong time and project management skills
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team and can positively adapt to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities
  • Must have a working understanding of city, state, and federal employment law
  • Excellent command of spelling, grammar, and vocabulary usage preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and the ability to learn company’s computer programs
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of personalities, both virtually and in-person, is key for success
